The Ace Cup

Race 1 & 2

No Report Available

Race 3 & 4

The Wind was very light again. A large e course was set, whiched proved challenging to the best of sailors.

Joan & Steve Willis in there Dart 18 Spent 3 minutes going Backwards and eventually crossed the start line 5 minutes after the horn! The first mark proved a challenge, Catching both of the fleets out with some close shaves to both boats and ???????????????.

Eventually Having shortened course to 1 lap, the race was won by John Dutch only by 4 seconds (Corrected time) to Chris Stafford & Steve Sobey in Their Dart 18. 3rd Place went to Kevin Dutch.

In the dinghies equally Sarah Hadaway in her Byte beet Martin Searle in his Laser by only 5 seconds (corrected time) with Alex Jibb following close in 3rd

Over Tea & Biscuits the course was shortened and the wind began to freshen

The race started on the hour and following a close bit of manoeuvring between those Dart 18's and a hemmed in John Dutch in his Sprint 15, they were all away.

Martin Searle Struggled to get away from the rest of the slow handicap fleet, which cost him the race.

Joan & Steve Willis Found 'Dead' Water again (we could hear them form the tower)

Eventually after 3 laps of this smaller course, Chris Stafford & Steve Sobey Got Their Revenge by coming in First Place, With John Dutch Stealing 2nd From Steve & Joan Willis who Had to Settle for 3rd

The best was made of the trying conditions
